Based on the "Tall Table" (see gallery), this similar piece had specific dimension requirements for its home in front of a kitchen window. Unable to find anything pre-made, the clients took the custom furniture route and ended up with exactly what they were after, or as I hope, better. The table top has more figured wood than the structural parts of the table which are better suited for straight grain. The high contrast piece that is the front apron, wraps around the table, continuing its grain and colors around to the sides of the table. The two drawers are neatly cut out of the front apron so as not to interrupt the wood's graphics. I dare say you would miss the drawers altogether if the pulls weren't there.
